Zombie Apocalypse Weapon

Well, this one is under Miscellaneous Art, because we don’t have a category for Zombie Apocalypse Weapons (yet)! We created this for Dirty Smith’s 2018 Zombie Apocalypse Weapon Challenge, all made from items we had already in our shop. Check out our video if you want to see how we made it, and if you like campy, overacting horror movies!

Guitar Wall Art

We took an old guitar, cut the back off, and covered it with discarded jewel case covers from music CDs. It actually plays, although not really in tune!

Michigan Rock Picture

We made good use of Paula’s addiction to picking up rocks. These were all taken from beaches in Michigan and sprayed with a clear gloss acrylic. Then we glued them one by one to a thin piece of plywood. The matte and frame were repurposed from another picture.

Fireplace Tile Picture

Guaranteed to warm up any room in your home! This picture all started with a glass door from a broken microwave and some leftover tile from our kitchen backsplash remodel project. Paula painted the flames and logs on a piece of thin plywood, and then everything was glued on. How great it is to have a no mess fireplace that can go anywhere and doesn’t require wood or gas!

Cinderella Pumpkin

We made the coach frame out of metal round bar, painted it gold, and then added a real, carved and painted pumpkin. The inside is lined with gold, shiny fabric, complete with Cinderella doll!
