Wood and Metal Table

We had an idea to make a table for our home, and came up with a design using both cherry wood and metal. After cutting the segments of cherry wood to 30 degrees, we arranged them in a circle and joined them together. We wanted to incorporate some metal into it, so we textured metal flat bar with a flap disk and bent the legs into shape. We then bolted the metal legs to the rings, and topped it with a piece of glass we found for $5! Check out our YouTube video to see in detail how it all came together!

Root Ball Table

We pulled a dead tree out of our yard, and after we cut off all the branches, we realized how cool-looking the root ball was, and what a great table it would make! After letting it dry out for a year, we dug out all the dirt and clay from the roots, used a router to smooth out the top and bottom, and then covered it with marine resin. The legs are actually some of the branches that we cut off the tree. Adding the glass top we found at a resale shop finishes this piece perfectly!

Wine Bottle Cabinet

We took a damaged and discarded liquor store display and thought we could modify it to look like a wine botte. We modified the shape, then added new supports and shelving. Instead of painting it, we covered it with sheet vinyl, added a touch of chrome strips from our local auto supply store and then added color changing LEDs to give it the look we wanted. We even branded it for ourselves, with the year of our anniversary, and our last name. We love it!

Hot Sauce Cabinet

We made this display cabinet for a family member who loves and collects hot sauces. The red LED lighting, and metal shelf binding carved with flames helps add a ‘hot‘ look to this piece!

Tommy Gun Cabinet

We were commissioned to make a custom cabinet to hold a replica of a Tommy Gun, and wanted to do something in line with the gangster era. This is made entirely out of oak, and stained a dark color to give it an antique effect. The red velvet interior gives it a look of a coffin, giving it nice but creepy effect.

Chain Coffee Table

Combining straight metal bar, an old chain, and a piece of oval glass bought at a garage sale, we were able to create this beautiful, one of a kind coffee table for less than $20. After coming up with the design, we welded the chain into shape and finished it with a metal blackening paste.

Outside Composite Wood Table

We had a lot of leftover composite decking after we built our deck, and couldn’t bear to throw it away to fill up the landfill, so we had the idea to make an outside plant table for our front porch. The design was dictated by the amount of material we had left over, and the best part is, it can stay outside forever without rotting.

Entertainment Center Makeover

We wanted to give our entertainment center a makeover to get it out of the 90’s, so we used existing parts to build out some extra shelves, used our router to finish off the edges of the doors and shelves, and then used stain and varnish we already had. This was a zero cost refinish project!
